It began as volunteer work in Santiago Atitlán, Guatemala, which led to an intense experience.

Faith, planting, resilience, food, and craftsmanship are powerful symbols in the daily lives of the women of Santiago, as well as for most of those who live there.

This series consists of 5 drawings about women and their symbolism, created by me upon my return to Brazil, and later sent digitally to Mujeres de Maiz (a collective of local artisans) to be printed on fabrics that they would then intervene on.

The experience resulted in 5 more works, in addition to my initial drawings, created by 8 hands, focusing on femininity and this other world.

One of the most important aspects of this project, which was born spontaneously and without planning, was the desire to circulate money in female hands through their art and knowledge, bringing recognition and empowerment to all of us
